Huskies Show Well at 2014 Minnesota College Championships

St. Cloud, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University nordic ski team competed at the 2014 Minnesota Collegiate Nordic Ski Championships on Saturday, Jan. 11. Â The races were held in St. Cloud at the nearby Graystone Trails. Â The race was a 3x6km freestyle relay race and it included college teams from around the state of Minnesota.
The Huskies were led at the race by a sixth place finish by the team of Katie Banken, Kiersten Haaversen and Halle Weisman.  The trio scored a time of 57:02.5, while the first place team from Gustavus Adolphus charted a winning time of 50:16.3.
The second SCSU team finished 16th in the race with a time of 1:05:03.8.  The Huskies' trio included Clara Boyle, Megan Jones and Cherisse Wolvington. Â
St. Cloud State's season will continue on Jan. 18-18 with a trip to the CCSA Telemark race in Hayward, Wis.
