Women's Basketball Drops to Northern State, 50-77

Aberdeen, S.D. – The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team matched-up against Northern State University in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action Saturday evening in Aberdeen, S.D. The Huskies fell to the Wolves 50-77 in final scoring.
Northern State held a one-point lead at the end of the first half (26-25) and was able to build upon their lead in the second half. The Wolves led by as much as 27 in the second half.
Jessica Benson (Grand Meadow) led the Huskies with 14 points on six of 10 shooting from the field. Benson grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Rachael Moen (Savage) finished with eight points after hitting two shots from beyond the arc.
The Huskies shot just 27% from the field in the game. Northern State finished the contest shooting 42%.
Rachel Krogman led the Wolves with 15 points on six of 10 shooting. Krogram pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
St. Cloud State will continue their four-game road stand as they travel to Winona State (8-14, 4-14 NSIC) and Upper Iowa (5-17, 4-14 NSIC) for NSIC action on Feb. 14 and 15.
