St. Cloud, Minn. – Tyler Koivisto led the St. Cloud State men's golf team to a second place finish at the St. Cloud State Fall Classic played Sunday and Monday at the St. Cloud Country Club.

Minnesota State University, Mankato won the team title and the Mavericks Ross Miller was the individual medalist. Minnesota State posted consistent rounds of 287-287 for a 574 and seven stroke win over St. Cloud State. Miller shot 70-68 to finish at six-under-par 138 for the tournament. The Huskies posted 288-293 for a 581 in the 12-team field.

Huskies Highlights

Koivisto tied for second place on the individual leaderboard as he shot rounds of 71-72 to finish at one-under-par 143.
Teammate Jack Barnhart came in at even par 144 and tied for fourth place. He shot rounds of 72-72.
Jack McClintock was among the top ten on the leaderboard, finishing the tournament at two-over-par 146. He shot even par 72 in the final round and 74 on the first day.
Wyatt Hanson and Matt Bible rounded out the team scoring for the Huskies. Hanson tied for 11^th place after rounds of 71-77 for a 148. Bible shot 74-78 for a 152 and tied for 28^th place.
St. Cloud State will begin defense of its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference title, Sept. 28-30 at the fall portion of the 2014-15 NSIC Championship to be played at The Jewel Golf Club in Lake City.
