Caron leads Huskies with top 10 finish at UWRF invitational

St. Cloud State University's Chris Caron led the Huskies with a ninth place finish at the 2015 Falcon CC Invitational on Friday, Sept. 11. Â The 8,000-meter run took place on the course at the Kilkarney Hills Golf Club in River Falls, Wisc.
Caron posted a solid time of 26:04.36 in the race to finish ninth. Â Charles Corbett of UW-Superior won the race with a time of 25:10.97. Â As a team, SCSU placed seventh in the race with 140 points, while Gustavus Adolphus was the top team at 62. Â
Sebastian Sowada placed second for the Huskies with a 20th place time of 26:40.20 and teammate John Simila was 34th at 27:09.68. Â Jack Howell (37th/27:28.07), Tremayne Collins (40th/27:41.98), Jesse Groettum (44th/28:25.94) and Brandon Jerde (45th/28:26.96) completed the field for SCSU.
The Huskies will continue their 2015 season on Sept. 19 with a trip to the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield, Minn.
