Sunstrom Leads at the St. Olaf Invitational

NORTHFIELD, MINN. – Samantha Sunstrom finished 18th overall for the St. Cloud State women's cross country program at the 2015 St. Olaf College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The 6,000-meter run was completed at the St. Olaf Cross Country Trail.
Sunstrom posted a time of 23:31.1 to lead the Huskies. Carleton's Ruth Steinke won the race with a time of 22:03.8. Minnesota Duluth won the team title, while SCSU placed ninth of the 20 programs that competed.
Rachel Sakry placed second for the Huskies with a 35th place finish and a time of 24:03.2. Her teammate Maria Hauer was 48th at 24:31.5. Kaylee Roelike (25:38.7), Zia Matti (25:57.4), Tristian Sproul (26.26.7) and Lindsey Stassen (27:01.2) completed the field for SCSU.
The Huskies will continue their 2015 season on Sept. 26 with a trip to the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstand Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.
