Sakry Top Finisher For the St. Cloud State Women’s Cross Country Program At Roy Griak Invitational

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Junior Rachel Sakry led the St. Cloud State women's cross country team at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Sakry's time of 24:53.3 in the 6K earned her 69th place overall in a race that was won by Alexis Zeis of the University of Mary. Minnesota Duluth earned the team victory with their 93 points. The SCSU women finished 19th of 37 teams.

Senior Kaylee Roelike finished in 82nd place with her time of 25:09.1. Sophomore Maria Hauer was the third Huskies finisher in 106th place in a time of 25:41.1. Other finishers for SCSU were Tristan Sproul (159 – 26:32.5), Zia Matti (173 – 26:56.5), Lindsay Stassen (195 – 27:38.9) and Kaylin Cherne (228 – 29:24.8)

The St. Cloud State women's cross country program returns to the course at the Bob Waxlax Invitational in Sauk Rapids, Minn. at the Wapicada Golf Course on Oct. 9.
