Caron Leads the St. Cloud State Men’s Cross Country Program At Roy Griak Invitational

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Senior Chris Caron led the St. Cloud State men's cross country team at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn. on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Caron's time of 27:46 in the 8K earned him 66th place overall in a race that was won by Alec Baldwin of Black Hills State. Black Hills State earned the team victory with their 93 points. The SCSU men finished 26th of 38 teams.

Freshman Tremayne Collins finished in 151st place with his time of 29:08. Junior John Simila was the third Huskies finisher in 164th place in a time of 29:21. Other finishers for SCSU were Johnathan Hess (185 – 29:51), Brandon Jerde (188 – 29:58), Jack Howell ( 197 – 30:17) and Jesse Groettum (201 – 30:26).

The St. Cloud State men's cross country program returns to the course at the Bob Waxlax Invitational in Sauk Rapids, Minn. at the Wapicada Golf Course on Oct. 9.
