#2 St. Cloud State wrestling topples Minnesota State, Moorhead

The #2 ranked Huskies opened up with a 11-3 major decision victory at 141lbs with Travis Swanson over Kristian Vazquez. Curt Zachmeier made his debut with his first varsity start in a dual for the huskies, in fashion picking up a 7-3 win over Isaac Novacek at 149lbs.
The ball kept rolling with Larry Bomstad Clint Poster, Clayton Jennissen each earning a victory by fall in their respected weight classes at 157, 165 and 174lbs. Chevaz Farris would use the Huskie's momentum and pick up the win at 184lbs with a major decision 12-3 over Moorhead's Mike Urban.
St. Cloud State would continue the winning streak picking up wins at 197, 285 and 125 lbs with Vj Giulio earning a major decision of 16-5, Austin Goergen with the technical fall 20-3, and Tim Prescott picking up the fall. Minnesota State-Moorhead's #2 ranked Blake Bosch would steal the last match of the dual over Jared Oftedahl at 133lbs in a close 2-0 match.
The Huskies will continue their NSIC conference competition this Saturday at Aberdeen, South Dakota against Northern State University at 2 p.m.
