Women's Basketball On the Road to Upper Iowa and Winona State

The St. Cloud State University women's basketball team (9-4, 6-3 NSIC) gets back on the road and travels to Upper Iowa (2-14, 0-10 NSIC) on Friday, Jan. 12, at 6 p.m. and Winona State (13- 1, 9-1 NSIC) on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 4 p.m.

Scouting Upper Iowa:Â
- Upper Iowa dropped both of their conference match-ups over the weekend, falling to the University of
- Sioux Falls on Friday, Jan. 5 (60-46) as well as to Southwest Minnesota St. on Saturday, Jan 6. (80-57).Â
- The Peacocks are currently on a 12-game losing streak, with their last win coming against non-conference opponent, McKendree on Nov. 11, 2017.
- The program is lead by second-year head coach, Micha Thompson. To date, the Peacocks are 6-37 under Thompson.
- The Peacocks' offensive efforts are paced by Blair Klostermann, who averages 12.6 points and 4.1 offensive rebounds per game.Â
- Ashley Rosenthal has 24 steals on the season, which is the eighth-most in the NSIC.Â

- The Warriors are 13-1 overall, and 9-1 in NSIC play after defeating Southwest Minnesota St. on Friday, Jan. 5 (61-46) and the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday, Jan. 6 (59-51).
- Winona State is on an eight-game winning streak, with their last loss coming against the University of Sioux Falls on Dec. 1, 2017.Â
- The team is coached by Scott Ballard, who is in his 14th year running the program.
- He has over 30 years of coaching experience and has won 512 career games.Â
- Hannah McGlone is shooting 58.2% from the field, which is the highest in the NSIC.
- McGlone is also leading the NSIC in rebounding with an average of 11.2 per game.Â
- She was also named this week's NSIC South Player of the Week after averaging 16.5 points and 14.5 rebounds over the weekend.Â
- Allie Pickrain is the primary three-point shooting threat. She is also shooting 48.7 percent from behind the arc.Â
