St. Cloud State University's Maria Hauer turned in another outstanding performance this weekend on the nordic ski trails with a seventh place finish at the CCSA-NCAA Quailifier race in Rhinelander, Wisc. on Jan. 28.
The Huskies were originally slated to ski at races in Duluth on Jan. 27-28, but course conditions there dictated a site change to the course in Rhinelander, Wisc. The race was hosted by UW-Green Bay on the CAVOC Trails and there was only one day of racing on Jan. 28 with a 10K classic event.
Hauer once more cracked the top 10 with a time of 34:58.4. Vivian Hett of Northern Michigan won the event with a time of 31:50.2. SCSU teammate Jamie Herridge placed 21st in the race at 38:15.5 and Haley Bock placed 24th at 39.50.0.
St. Cloud State will continue its 2017-18 season on Feb. 3-4 with CCSA races on the trails in Houghton, Mich.
