The St. Cloud State University men's golf team placed 11th at the 2019 Saint John's University Invitational, which was held on Sept. 21-22. The first round was played at the Greystone G.C. in Sauk Centre, Minn. and the final round on Sept. 22 was played on the links at Blackberry Ridge G.C. in nearby Sartell, Minn.

The Huskies tied for 11th place in the team standings along with St. Olaf. SCSU tallied a team score of 623 (324-299), while St. Thomas won the meet with a team score of 582 (298-284). The tournament featured 22 teams and 120 golfers.

Individually, SCSU was paced by freshman Carter Doose, who placed sixth on the leaderboard with a score of 146 (71-75). Teammate Quinn Massey placed 48th with a score of 156 (81-75) and Hunter Moen was 57th with a score of 157 (78-79). SCSU's squad was rounded out by Spencer Hinrichs in 72nd place with a 160 (86-74) and Aiden Brovold was 108th with a score of 175 (89-86).

The Huskies will continue their 2019-20 fall season with a trip to the Blue Tiger Invitational on Oct. 14-15 in Jefferson City, Mo.
