St. Cloud State University's award winning student-ran Husky Productions added two more national honors to its trophy case on June 25. The student crew of Husky Productions, which produces live coverage of St. Cloud State hockey games, received two Sports Video Group College Sports Media Awards for 2019-20.
Husky Productions received the top award for Outstanding Live Game Production Collegiate Student for its telecast of the SCSU vs. North Dakota men's hockey game at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center this season. HP also took first place for Outstanding Live Non-Game Production Collegiate Student for Husky Faceoff men's hockey pregame show.
In competition for these awards with many of the nation's elite collegiate programs, Husky Productions received the top honor in both categories from a field of nominees that included entries from University of Oklahoma, Steton Hall, Temple, Notre Dame, Ball State, Texas A&M, Liberty and Virgina Tech.
HP would like to thank to SCSU Athletics, the SCSU Mass Communications Department and the College of Liberal Arts for their continued support of Husky Productions.
