No. 2 SCSU goes 3-0 at The Carolina Clash

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 2 St. Cloud State Wrestling swept their three duals at the inaugural Carolina Clash on Saturday, upending No. 4 West Liberty 26-12, No. 18 UNC-Pembroke 33-6 and RV Lander 31-13. 10 Huskies went undefeated throughout the day while four wrestlers picked up wins over ranked opponents. The three wins advance the Huskies' dual win streak to an NCAA DII-record 73 straight.
SPOTLIGHT PERFORMANCES
Paxton Creese recorded a massive 6-5 win over No. 2 Nick Daggatt (UNC-Pembroke) at 125 in a thrilling bout to open the Huskies' second match. No. 5 Noah Ryan defeated two ranked opponents in No. 8 Bryce Walker (UNC-Pembroke) and No. 10 Logan Kemp (West Liberty). No. 1 Joseph Bianchini went 3-0 with three bonus point wins at 149 while No. 3 Colby Njos (157), No. 6 Garrett Vos (141) and No. 9 Billy Pitzner (184) each were 2-0 with two bonus victories of their own. No. 8 Devin Donovan had a strong showing at 165, going 2-0 with a 15-3 major decision over No. 11 Gage Bernall (Lander).
