St. Cloud State Men's Basketball Host Minnesota State for a Non-Conference Match-Up

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team will have its 2022-23 home debut. The Huskies are set to host a non-conference match-up with the Minnesota State Mavericks Tuesday evening. The game is set for an 7:00 p.m. CT tip-off at Halenbeck Hall. The NSIC Network will provide the game stream while live stats will be provided on the St. Cloud State men's basketball schedule page.

LOOK BACK AT LAST WEEKEND
The Huskies opened their season down in Kansas City, MO last weekend for the NSIC/MIAA/GAG Crossover. The Huskies faced No. 12 Southern Nazarene and Arkansas Monticello.

St. Cloud State fell in its season opener 87-52 to No. 12 Southern Nazarene. The Huskies put up a hard fought battle but ultimately the 35 point deficit was too much for St. Cloud to overcome. Tony Dahl led the Huskies in scoring putting up a career high 14 points while Luke Taylor tallied 10 points.

On Saturday the Huskies offense lit up Arkansas Monticello bouncing back with a 92-60 victory. St. Cloud put away 42 points in the first half going into the locker room with a 42-30 lead. The Huskies were able to maintain their point advantage the entire second half. Joe Mutimer led St. Cloud's scoring with a career high of 21 points and five rebounds. Matthew Willert put up 14 points and five rebounds.

Minnesota State is off to a 2-0 start so far this season. The Mavericks took part in the NSIC/MIAA/GAG Crossover going up against Missouri Southern and Henderson State. Minnesota State took down Missouri Southern 87-73 (Nov. 11) and Henderson State 84-64 (Nov. 12).
