St. Cloud State Women's Basketball Hosts Bemidji State Then Travels to MN Crookston

Huskies host Bemidji State on Thursday, Hits the road on Saturday to Minnesota Crookston
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The St. Cloud State women's basketball team will play host to Bemidji State on Thursday, December 1 before hitting the road to take on Minnesota Crookston Saturday, December 3. Thursday game is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off while Saturday's game is set for 1:00 p.m.

A Look Back
Last weekend the Huskie hit the road and headed east towards Michigan. On Friday, St. Cloud faced off against the Michigan Tech Huskies. St. Cloud struggled to gain any momentum on offense while also had a hard time on defense slowing down Michigan Tech. The Huskies ended up falling 82-49.

On Saturday the Huskies bounced back against the Northern Michigan Wildcats. St. Cloud held the lead the entire game except late in the fourth period where Northern Michigan went ahead by two. Thanks to a late three-point jumper from Dru Henning, the Huskies pulled out ahead 55-51 over the Wildcats.

Bemidji State Beavers
Bemidji State is off to a 3-2, 0-1 NSIC start for their 2022-23 season. Bemidji's three wins have come against Valley City State, Mayville State and St. Martin's while they have fallen against Minnesota Crookston and No. 13 Western Washington.

St. Cloud State and Bemidji State rivalry has met for a total of 66 times. The Huskies hold the series lead 48-18. St. Cloud currently holds a four game winning streak against the Beavers. During the last match-up the Huskies claimed the NSIC regular season title with their 67-57 win over the Beavers.

Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles
Minnesota Crookston has opened their season 2-5, 1-0 in NSIC play. The Golden Eagles have fallen against Nebraska Kearney, Northwest Missouri State, Northern Michigan, Michigan Tech and Nova Southeastern while their two wins came from Bemidji State in NSIC play and Palm Beach Atlantic.

Since 1998, the Huskies and Golden Eagles have clashed 33 times with the Huskies holding the advantage 26-7. St. Cloud has a four game winning streak against Minnesota Crookston with their last match-up ending in a 67-59 win for the Huskies.
