
Keely Kurschner named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week

Hill-Murray product led the NSIC with 5.31 digs/set and anchored the league’s top serve receive
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State sophomore libero Keely Kurschner has been named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week following her stellar performance at the SCSU/CSP Invite this past weekend. The honor is the first of Kurschner's career.
The Maplewood, Minnesota native averaged an NSIC-leading 5.31 digs a set while leading the Huskies to a 4-0 start to the season. Kurschner captained a serve receive that allowed a league-low seven aces – 0.54 per set – and set a career-high with 23 digs on August 26 against Drury.
No. 9 SCSU continues their season this coming weekend at the Hyatt Place Bash at the Beach in West Palm Beach, Florida with a pair of matches on September 2 and 3.
