St. Cloud never cut the lead to less than five through the next several minutes until Jada Eggebrecht sank a three to cut the lead to four-points, 55-51, with just over a minute and half left in the game. With just 16 seconds left on the clock, Eggebrecht was fouled going up to the basket and sent to the line. With the stakes high, the freshman executed at the line hitting two key free-throws to tie it up at 58. With just two seconds left and a Minot State possession, the Huskies were looking to get a stop and send the game into overtime. However, a Minot player managed to get past under basket hitting her shot right before the buzzer to end the game.
