Bio
2022-23: Theis capped off a stellar career in a Huskies uniform putting together an impressive season as team captain in 2022-23 appearing and starting in 26 games. She was named to the All-NSIC Conference First Team and earned NSIC North Division Player of the Week honors three times (Dec. 5, Jan. 3, and Jan. 16.). Additionally, she was named Wolters Kluwer Athlete of the Month in December and January for performances on the court. Theis scored 423 points and led the team in scoring averaging 16.3 points per game. She scored in the double-digits in 21 of 26 games with seven 20+ point performances including a career high 36 points in the Huskies win at Minnesota Crookston on Dec. 3, 2023. Theis became the 35th player in St. Cloud State women’s basketball history to reach the 1,000-point milestone as she achieved the mark in the Huskies' overtime win at Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 20, 2023. She nabbed 200 rebounds averaging 7.7 per game and tallied 62 assists, 47 steals, and 23 blocks. She shot .541 from the floor and .721 from the foul line. She held the top field goal percentage in the conference for the majority of the season and held spots in the top ten for scoring, rebounding, and blocks. With Theis’ impressive numbers this season, she has moved to sixth all-time in field goal percentage and tenth all-time for blocked shots.
2021-22: Theis was a key piece of the Huskies line up in 2021-22, appeared in all 29 games with two starts. She scored 172 total points during the season, including a season and career-high 19 points in a thrilling win over Minnesota-Crookston on February 17. Theis additionally tallied 115 rebounds, 33 assists, 15 blocks and 24 steals during the year.
2020-21: Theis made a strong return to the line up after missing the second half of the 2019-20 season due to injury. In her third season with St. Cloud State, Theis appeared in all 18 games off the bench and played 341 total minutes. She scored 123 points, including a season-high 13 against Mary early in the season, and added 59 rebounds, 14 assists, 17 blocks and 17 steals. Theis ranked second on the team in blocks at the end of the regular season and ranked top-10 in the NSIC in both blocks and blocks per game.
2019-20: As a sophomore, Theis appeared and started 16 games for the Huskies before her season was cut short due to injury. A NSIC Player of the Week honoree, Theis scored 173 points and averaged 10.8 a game during the season while shooting .506 from the floor and .500 from three-point range. Theis scored a season-high 18 points and pulled in a season-high 10 rebounds in St. Cloud State's win over Minnesota State on January 18 and was named the conference Athlete of the Week after leading the team to an upset victory over #7 Sioux Falls on December 14.
2018-19: Theis made quite the impression in her rookie season with the Huskies, as she was named to the NSIC All-Freshman team at the end of the regular season. In her first year, Theis appeared in all 29 games and made 24 starts, scoring 249 points in 653 minutes of play. Theis ranked second on the team in rebounds, wracking up 159 total for an average of 5.5 a game, while tallying 29 assists, 21 steals and 15 blocks as well. She scored a career-high 21 points and pulled in a career-high 17 points in the team's dominating win over UMary in January and scored in double-digits in 13 games for St. Cloud State.
High School: Theis joined the Huskies after an outstanding prep career at Maple Grove High School. A three-year letterwinner for the Crimson, Theis earned Northwest Suburban All-Conference honors as a junior and senior, and was the team's leading rebounder both seasons. She scored 462 points as a senior, which ranked third all-time for single-season points, and helped Maple Grove to its first appearance in the Minnesota State Tournament since 2011.
