Huskies fall to Southwest Minnesota State, 86-75
MARSHALL, Minn. – St. Cloud State Men's Basketball (6-8 overall, 2-6 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) dropped its final game of the week, 86-75 to Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday afternoon at the R/A Facility in Marshall.

- Freshman Lucas Morgan (Sydney, Australia) scored a team-high 15 points on 5-of-8 from the field, 2-of-4 from three and 3-of-4 from the free throw line, dished out four assists and grabbed two rebounds.
- Freshman Wyatt Hawks (White Bear Lake, Minn.) nearly recorded a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. He shot 5-of-6 from the field and was 1-of-1 from three-point land.
- Senior Matt Willert (Buffalo, Minn.) scored 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting and grabbed five rebounds.
- The Huskies are now 41-25 all-time against Southwest Minnesota State after the loss
- SCSU led the game in three pointers (9-6), total rebounds (18-21—39 – 8-29—37), steals (9-6), second chance points (19-13) and bench points (33-22).
- SMSU led the game in field goal percentage (55.4%-38.2%), three-point percentage (35.3%-31.0%), free-throw percentage (75.0%-73.7%), field goals (31-26), free throws (18-14), assists (17-11), blocks (5-0), points off turnovers (16-10), points in the paint (50-28) and fast break points (11-9).
- Morgan tied his career-high dishing out four assists. 15 points is the second most in his career. He has scored 10+ points in seven games this season, has recorded 3+ assists in five games and has made 2+ three-pointers in five games.
- Hawks tied career highs in points (11), minutes (19), field goals (five), three-point attempts (one), assists (one) and steals (one). Made his first collegiate three pointer. He has scored 10+ points in five games including four of the last five. He has recorded 5+ rebounds in six games and 4+ in 10 games.
- Willert tied his season high for steals (one). He has scored 8+ points in nine games this season including the last three. He has grabbed 4+ rebounds in six games.
- Freshman Jamiir Allen (Milwaukee, Wis.) scored 13 points. He set a new career-high for three-point attempts (five). He has scored double-digit points in six games this season and now five games in a row. He has scored 13 points four games in a row and has made 2+ threes in four games this season.
- Freshman Vance Peiffer (Waukee, Iowa) scored six points and grabbed six rebounds. He tied his career-high for three-point attempts (two). He has recorded 4+ rebounds in seven of nine games he's played in.
- Redshirt sophomore Tony Dahl (Buffalo, Minn.) tallied three points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. The three assists tied his career high. He has recorded a steal in four straight games.
