Four Personal Bests, One Season Best in Final Regular Season Meet for St. Cloud State Cross Country

Huskies put five runners in top-100, place 11th as a team
WEST SALEM, Wis. – St. Cloud State Cross Country ran to an 11th-place team finish at its final regular season meet, the Tori Neubauer Invitational, hosted by UW-La Crosse at the Maple Grove Venues in West Salem, Wis. on Saturday morning. Four Huskies earned new 6,000-meter cross country bests and one more set a new season best time in the Huskies first 6K meet in nearly a month.
Greta Freed (Rochester, Minn.) finished first for the Huskies, placing 33rd in a time of 23:35.2, just under five second off her season best time from Roy Griak. She was followed by freshmen Abbygail Nunez (South St. Paul, Minn.) MerriAnna Johnson (Osceola, Wis,) who each ran to new personal best times. Nunez ran 24:34.1 to finish 69th, cutting nearly two and a half minutes off her previous best while Johnson was 74th in 24:44.6, knocking three minutes and 20 seconds off her previous best time.
Sophomore Wisconsin natives Alena Donahue (West Salem, Wis.) and Tegan Michalak (Arcadia, Wis.) each enjoyed great races in a return to their home state. Donahue ran a new season best time of 25:15.8 to finish 93rd and Michalak was 98th in a new personal best time of 25:20.8. Donahue cut just under a minute and 15 seconds off her season best while Michalak improved her personal best by over a minute and 10 seconds.
Sophomore Audrey Rabitz (Manitowoc, Wis.) finished her first collegiate 6K cross country race in 26:59.0 and sophomore Mady Muehr (Greendale, Wis.) ran to a new personal best time (27:54.5), shaving just under a minute from her old best.
