St. Cloud State Wrestling Announces 2024-25 Schedule

Huskies set to wrestle in nine conference duals, one dual tournament, and two opens
St. Cloud, Minn.- St. Cloud State Wrestling has announced their 2024-25 schedule. The Huskies are in line to wrestle nine Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference duals, the National Wrestlers Coaches Association National Duals, and two opens. The season is set to begin on Wednesday, October 30 with the annual Black and Red Classic which will be held at Halenbeck at 7:00 P.M. The Huskies are then set to compete in the Yellowjacket Open on Saturday, November 2 and the Luther College Open on Saturday, November 9 before kicking off their dual schedule.

The dual season for St. Cloud State will begin with their first home match of the season against Sioux Falls on December 9. The Huskies will then be on the road against Minnesota State Moorhead on December 19 and Southwest Minnesota State on January 4 before traveling to Cedar Falls, IA for the NWCA National Duals.

The NWCA National Duals will be held in Cedar Falls, IA and last from Friday, January 10 to Saturday, January 11. After claiming the title in 2023, the Huskies took third place last season. With wins over Newberry and Mary to advance to the semifinals, St. Cloud State would be defeated by the eventual champion and eventual National Champion Central Oklahoma. A win over Lander would secure third place for St. Cloud State.

Following the Duals, the Huskies will return to Minnesota for a match against Minnesota State Mankato on Thursday, January 16. Headed back to Halenbeck Hall, the Huskies will battle against Augustana on Saturday, January 18 and then UW-Parkside on Friday, January 31.

St. Cloud State will close out the regular season on road against Northern State on Friday, February 7, at home against Minot State on Friday, February 14, and on the road against Mary on Sunday, February 16.

The Huskies will then travel down to Sioux Falls, S.D. for the Super Region V Championships on Saturday, March 1. Last season, St. Cloud State won their eighth consecutive Super Region V Championship with three champions while qualifying eight wrestlers for the NCAA II Championships.

The NCAA Championships will be held in Indianapolis, IN and will take place between March 14 and 15. The Huskies are coming off a fifth place finish a season ago and produced six All-Americans at last year's tournament.
