
NSIC Announces 2025 Volleyball Tournament Bracket & Information, St. Cloud State Earns No. 3 Seed

Huskies host No. 6 seed Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
BURNSVILLE, Minn. – For the third time in school history and the third straight season, the St. Cloud State Volleyball team (23-6, 18-2 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) will host a first-round NSIC Tournament match, as announced by the league office on Saturday. The No. 3 seed Huskies will welcome No. 6 seed Southwest Minnesota State (21-6, 14-6 NSIC) to Halenbeck Hall on Tuesday, with first serve slated for 6 p.m.

The NSIC announced the 2025 Volleyball Tournament pairings following the conclusion of the regular season schedule on Saturday. The top eight teams from the NSIC Volleyball Standings advance to the single-elimination tournament. The quarterfinals will be hosted at the top four seeds on Tuesday, November 18 at 6 p.m. and the semifinals/championship matches hosted at the highest remaining seed. The semifinals/championship matches will take place on two consecutive days between Friday and Sunday, November 21-23 with the dates of competition determined by the host institution following the quarterfinal round.
Concordia St. Paul (19-1) and Wayne State (19-1) shared the 2025 NSIC Regular Season Championship. CSP will be the top seed via their strength of schedule while WSC will be the second seed. St. Cloud State (18-2) earned the third seed while Minnesota State (15-5) earned the fourth seed. Sioux Falls (14-6) and Southwest Minnesota State (14-6) tied in the standings, with USF earning the fifth seed via their two wins over the Mustangs during the regular season. There was a three-way tie between Northern State (11-9), Minnesota Duluth (11-9) and Winona State (11-9). Northern State earned the seventh seed and UMD the eighth seed via strength of schedule.
The quarterfinal round matches will be free to view on the NSIC Network. The semifinals and championship matches will be behind a paywall as fans can purchase a match for $10 or a tournament pass (all three matches) for $15.
The NSIC, the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 40-team NCAA Central Region. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA region tournament on December 4-7. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the MIAA, GAC and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots awarded on an at-large basis. The NCAA Volleyball selection show will be streamed online on Monday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on NCAA.com. The championship quarterfinals, semifinals and final match will take place Thursday-Saturday, December 11-13, at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
