GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four St. Cloud State Volleyball student-athletes have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Sophomore libero Laurin Hamann (Manitowoc, Wis.), junior outside hitter Shelby Kimm* (North Liberty, Iowa), sophomore setter Braya LaPlant* (Grand Rapids, Minn.) and senior middle blocker Emilie Planert (De Pere, Wis.) earned the honor for their success in the classroom and on the court. Kimm is a back-to-back honoree, while the other three are first-time selections.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk (*) and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 13, 2026.
The Division II CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II Academic All-America® program. She set the program's single match dig record of nearly two decades in the Huskies 3-1 win over No. 2 Wayne State in the NSIC Tournament Semifinals. The previous record of 37 was set by All-American Adreana Pieper on Oct. 20, 2007. This season, Hamann led the team in service aces (39) and digs (589). Her 589 digs rank No. 4 overall on the program's single season top 10 list.
