Rachel Kottke Named NSIC South Player of the Week Following Huskies Weekend Sweep

Kottke averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals
Burnsville, MN. – St. Cloud State Women's Basketball sophomore Rachel Kottke was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) South Player of the Week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Kottke was an integral part of the Huskies 2-0 weekend and averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.5 steals while shooting 72.7% from the field and 75% from three.
In St. Cloud State's 79-72 win over Jamestown, Kottke scored 21 points on an efficient 6/9 shooting to go with five rebounds, three assists, and five steals. She cashed three of her four three-pointers and went 6/7 at the free throw line.
In the Huskies 70-39 win against Northern State, the Buffalo Lake, MN native notched her first career double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She shot 7/9 from the field and again went 3/4 from three while nabbing two steals.
For the week, Kottke led the conference in field goal percentage, three-point percentage, and steals.
Kottke and the rest of the Huskies will return to action this Friday as they travel to Moorhead, MN to take on MSU Moorhead.
