Wyatt Hawks and Luke Winkel Named Second Team All-Region

Hawks and Winkel first All-Region duo since 2010
Indianapolis, IN.– No. 25 St. Cloud State Men's Basketball duo of junior Wyatt Hawks and sophomore Luke Winkel both earned Second Team All-Region in the Central Region Friday afternoon. The duo is the first pair of All-Region Huskies since Matt Schneck and Taylor Witt in 2010.
After earning First Team All-NSIC, NSIC Defensive Player of the Year, and NSIC All-Tournament Team, Wyatt Hawks adds another honor this season. Hawks is averaging 11.9 points and 8.7 rebounds to go with 2.4 blocks. He is seventh in Division II with 73 block and has 10 double-doubles on the year.
Luke Winkel also adds another accolade after earning First Team All-NSIC and NSIC All-Tournament Team. Winkel leads the Huskies in scoring, assists, and steals with 18.7 points, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals. Averaging 16.0 points per game for his career, he is 12th all-time in scoring per game at SCSU.
Hawks, Winkel, and the rest of the Huskies will be back in action on Saturday, March 14 to play RV Missouri Western in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
