St. Cloud State Men’s Basketball Ranked No. 19 Nationally, No. 4 in Central Region in Final Region Rankings

Huskies move up in both polls
Indianapolis, IN. – St. Cloud State Men's Basketball (25-6, 20-2 NSIC) were ranked as the No. 19 team in Division II and the No. 4 team in the second Central Region Ranking Wednesday afternoon. This is the first time since 2018-19 where the Huskies were Nationally Ranked in back-to-back polls
After being ranked No. 21 last week, SCSU jumped up to No. 19.
In the Central Region ranking, the Huskies came in as No. 4 after being No. 5 last week. This is the final region rankings before the selection show this Sunday.
St. Cloud State is part of the Central Region which is composed of three conferences, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), Great American Conference (GAC), and Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament on March 13-17 at the site of the top seed in the region. Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Selection Show will air on www.NCAA.com on Sunday, March 8 at 10:00 p.m. The NCAA Elite Eight and Final Four will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while the National Championship will be played in Indianapolis, Indiana.
