2015-16: An All-America award winner at 141-pounds...placed fifth at NCAA DII championships in 2016...placed fourth at 2016 NCAA DII Super 3 Regional...20-10 record...six falls...placed second at North Country Open...will serve as a team captain in 2016-17.

2014-15: A redshirt athlete at SCSU.

2013-14: Named to All-NSIC Second Team in 2014...posted a 12-8 record with two falls.

2012-13: Nelson earned All-America honors for the Huskies in 2012-13 with a fifth place finish in the 141-pound bracket at the NCAA Division II championships...charted a 22-9 record for SCSU as a redshirt freshman...earned a third place finish for SCSU at the 2013 NCAA DIvision II Super 3 Regional...also gained third place finishes for the Huskies at the 2012 Cobber Open and 2012 Husky Open.

2011-12: Recorded a 23-8 overall unattached record at 141/149 pounds…inked four pins…had three first place open tournament finishes…finished in sixth place or better in six open tournaments.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Big Lake High School...6X letterwinner in wrestling...MSHSL state champion at Big Lake...5X All-State and 5X All-Conference award winner...4X state finalist...5X section champion in high school...2X Academic All-State award winner.

PERSONAL: Son of Dave and Gina Nelson of Big Lake...enjoys hunting and fishing...chemistry major at St. Cloud State.
