2016-17: 11-4 record in 2016-17...three falls...placed third at the Finn Grinaker and Husky Opens...first place finish at the North Country Open...also placed second at Worthington Open.
2015-16: Redshirt season at SCSU...9-9 record at 125.
Before SCSU: A standout for Vacaville High School in Vacaville, Calif...claimed his first state medal at the 2015 CIF State Championships at 106-pounds...during his senior season, he claimed championships at the Monticello Empire League, Sac-Joaquin Section and Masters...Aquino had a senior year mark of a 51-5 record... claimed third place at the NHSCA Senior National Championships earning him All-American honors at 113-pounds...Aquino had a career high school record of 148-35, was the 12th ranked wrestler in the country by Wrestling USA Magazine and the 6th ranked wrestler in the country by Win Magazine in 2015
