2016-17: 10-5 record...two falls...third place finish at the Cobber Open and the North Country Open.
2015-16: Â Redshirt season at SCSU...10-7 record...first places at Concordia and Warrior Opens...wrestled at 125 and 133 pounds.
Before SCSU: Â Briggs hails from Capron, Ill. and North Boone High School where he was a four-time IHSA 1A state finalist...he won state titles respectfully in 2012 at 106-pounds and in 2013 at 113-pounds...Briggs finished as the runner-up in 2014 at 113-pounds and 2015 at 126-pounds...claimed unanimous All-Conference honors in all four years of his high school career...Briggs left high school with a cumulative record of 139-10...his high school team only had six members and no practice partners...high school coaches were Coach Sampson and Coach Schultz.
Personal: Â He is the son of Josh and Christina Briggs...health and physical education major...enjoys fishing.
