2018-19: On roster at SCSU in 2018-19.
Before SCSU: Betancourt, hails from Clovis (Calif.) High School via Fresno City College. In 2016, he placed fourth in the CIF State Championships at 106-pounds and led his team to a runner-up finish in the one-class system. He placed sixth in the 2016 Flo National Championships at 106-pounds to earn All-American honors. Betancourt, attended community college at Fresno City College, where he led his team to the 2017 North Region and CCCAA State Championship title. As a Ram, he finished his career with a 2017 CCCAA State Championship at 125-pounds. He is the son of Sophia and Rene Betancourt.
