2013 WCHA Scholar Athlete
2012-13: Named to 2013 All-WCHA Academic team and also selected as a 2013 WCHA Scholar Athlete...gained 2013 NCAA Division I All-Midwest Region Tournament Team...recipient of SCSU's Dave Torrey Award (Outstanding Goaltender) in 2012-13...named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 24, 2012 and Jan. 22, 2013...tallied a 24-14-1 record in 2012-13, which included a 2.28 GAA and a .914 save rate...notched 925 saves...on offense, Faragher chalked up points with assists against Denver in Jan. 18, 2013 and Minnesota on Feb. 9, 2013...played 2293:56 minutes in the nets...enjoyed three shutouts as a sophomore against UAH (Oct. 20, 2012), Denver (Nov. 2, 2012) and Bemidji State (Feb. 1, 2013)...hit season high with 42 saves against Michigan Tech on March 1, 2013...posted 30-plus saves in a game seven times during 2012-13...backstopped the Huskies in their historic NCAA playoff run with wins over Notre Dame and Miami at Midwest Regional...started in 40 games for the Huskies in 2012-13.
2011-12: Faragher enjoyed a breakout season in 2011-12...shared SCSU's Dave Torrey Award (Most Valuable Goaltender) in 2011-12 along with Mike Lee...charted a 4-0 shutout at North Dakota on Oct, 28, 2011, which included 44 saves...made 20 consecutive starts for the Huskies after Mike Lee went down with an injury early in the season...ended rookie year with a 2.75 GAA and a .915 save rate...made 685 saves in 1383:22 minutes of play...had four games with 40-plus saves in 2011-12 and 11 games with 30-plus saves as a freshman...scored first college point with an assist against Western Michigan on Dec. 28, 2011...also had an assist vs. Minnesota on Jan. 28, 2012...attended Pittsburgh (NHL) player development camp during summer of 2012.
Prior to SCSU: A 2008 graduate of Fort Frances H.S...played two season of junior hockey with Bismarck in the NAHL....helped Bismarck win NAHL's Robertson Cup in 2010...in 2010-11, Faragher posted a 2.44 GAA and a .918 save rate during the regular season at Bismarck with a 30-20-2 record...also played for Fort Frances Sabres in the SIJHL...named goaltender of the year in the SIJHL...team MVP at both Fort Frances and Bismarck...in 2009-10, Faragher tallied a 23-6-7 record with a 2.17 GAA and a .921 save rate for the Bobcats...also played soccer in high school.
