Bio
2018-19: In her fourth and final season, Uter appeared in 26 games and made 25 starts for the Huskies. A force to be reckoned with defensively, Uter tallying 24 steals and three blocks her senior season while pulling in 42 defensive rebounds. Offensively, she scored 79 points on .400 shooting from the floor and a .286 mark from beyond the arc. Uter scored a career-high 10 points against Minnesota State in January.
2017-18: Appeared in 24 games as a junior... scored 29 points while posting 42 assists and 14 steals... Recorded 29 rebounds and averaged over 12 minutes per game... A 70 percent free-throw shooter on the season.
2016-17: Played in 27 games for the Huskies...scored 45 points and 27 rebounds for SCSU in 2016-17...had a season game-high nine points vs. Northland on Nov. 19, 2016...also had game-high five rebounds and seven assists in that game.
2015-16: Played in 22 games for the Huskies ... Finished the season with 20 points, averaging 0.9 per game ... She dished up 19 assists ... She scooped up 17 assists ... She enjoyed her best game against Mayville on Dec. 30, 2015, playing 19 minutes, and raking up 4 points and 2 assists.
2014-15: Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Uter is a 5-6 guard out of Howard Lake, Minn. and graduate from Howard Lake Waverly Winsted (HLWW) H.S. Uter has found success in basketball, volleyball and track and field during her high school athletic career. On the basketball court, Uter averaged 12.2 points and 6.3 assists during the 2012-13 season. She led the Central Minnesota Conference in assists, free throws made, and assists to turnover ratio. She is a two-time All-Conference First Team and All-Section First Team pick and has been named team captain the past two seasons. Uter’s academic excellence has gained her membership into the National Honor Society and recipient of the HLWW Leadership award.
Personal: Mackenzie is the daughter of Steve and Kris Uter and is pursuing a degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance.
