2020-21: Zins earned Academic All-NCHC honors in 2020-21.
2019-20: Academic All-NCHC selection in 2019-20.
Before SCSU: Attended St. Michael-Albertville H.S. and Cedar Rapids Washington H.S...as a sophomore in high school, Zins had two goals and nine assists and followed that with eight goals and 20 assists during his junior season as a prep player...he played two seasons of hockey with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders from 2015-17 and completed his junior career with two seasons of hockey with the Trail Smoke Eaters in the BCHL from 2017-19...in his final season at Trail, Zins had 14 goals and 41 assists...in 2017-18, Zins posted three goals and 10 assists at Trail...in two seasons at Cedar Rapids, Zins charted one goal and eight assists...named Defenseman of the Year at Trail in 2018-19...earned two varsity letters at St. Michael-Albertville and was named the Defenseman of the Year for the Mississippi Conference in 2015.
Personal: The son of Chris and Erika Zins...business major at SCSU...enjoys playing golf...on Academic Honor Roll in high school.
