Garrett Raboin begins his sixth season at St. Cloud State University as an assistant men's hockey coach in 2017-18.
A standout on the Huskies' blueline from 2006 to 2010, Raboin most recently played professional hockey in Europe from 2010 to 2012. In 2010-11 and the beginning of the 2011-12 season, Raboin played in Finland for Turku. He completed the 2011-12 season in Norway with the Lorenskag club.
A three-year captain at SCSU, Raboin finished his collegiate career with 21 goals and 62 assists from 2006-10. He ranks fourth in career scoring among SCSU defensemen with 83 points. Raboin helped lead the Huskies to three NCAA Division I tournament bids and 83 victories during his collegiate tenure.
In 2010, Raboin earned All-WCHA honors and he was a three-time All-WCHA Academic and WCHA Scholar-Athlete selection. In 2010, Raboin was named to the Capital One Academic All-District V At Large team and he was also named a Lowe's All-Senior All-America First Team recipient.
A native of Detroit Lakes, Minn. and graduate of Detroit Lakes High School, Raboin played junior hockey with Lincoln of the USHL before his move to St. Cloud State in 2006. Raboin, his wife Emily and their son reside in St. Cloud.
