Bio
2022-23: In her fourth season with the Huskies, Wortz was named team captain appearing in 21 games. She scored 22 points and nabbed ten rebounds. She tallied 17 assists and two steals in 2022-23. Additionally, she was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
2021-22: Wortz appeared in 14 games for the Huskies in 2021-22 and played 31 total minutes. She scored 17 total points, including six against Northern State on January 29, with five rebounds, three assists and a steal. Wortz additionally earned Academic All-Conference honors and was named to the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence at the conclusion of the regular season.
2020-21: In her second season with St. Cloud State, Wortz appeared in six games and played 18 total minutes. She scored three points and tallied one rebounds during the season.
2019-20: As a first year, Wortz appeared in six games for the Huskies and played 18 total minutes. She scored her first career basket against MSU-Denver on November 16, 2019 and ended the season with two points, two steals, two assists and three rebounds.
High School: A 5'6 guard from Hutchinson, Minnesota, Wortz joins the Huskies after a strong high school career. Wortz was named team captain of the Hutchinson girls basketball team as a junior in 2017-18 and retained the role for her senior season in 2018-19. Elizabeth was named All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior. As a freshman, Wortz was a member of the team that advanced to the state tournament and is also a member of the highly successful AAU team, the Minnesota Rise.
Personal: Wortz' older sister Tori is a 2021-22 St. Cloud State basketball team alum. She is the daughter of Allan and Coletta Wortz.
