Bio
2019-20: Steen played a big role in the Huskies success down the stretch, as she appeared in 20 games for St. Cloud State during her senior season. As a senior, Steen scored 37 points and added 32 rebounds, nine assists, five blocks and a steal in 2019-20. She was named the NSIC's Elite 18 Award winner for the second consecutive season as the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at the finals site of the NSIC Championship and was a Myles Brand Award winner.
2018-19: As a junior, Steen appeared in 21 games for the Huskies, scoring 37 points and pulling in 31 rebounds in 140 minutes of play. She was named the NSIC's Elite 18 Award winner, which is given out to the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at the finals site of an NSIC Championship, and earned Academic All-Conference honors.
2017-18: Averaged 1.9 points through the 11 games she appeared in as a sophomore... Shot 52.6 percent from the field, charted 16 rebounds and three steals.
2016-17: Played in 10 games as a freshman...scored 17 points and added 18 rebounds...tallied seven rebounds in game vs. Wayne State on Jan. 27...also had three blocks and five points vs. Northern State on Jan. 20.
HIGH SCHOOL: Steen graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in the spring of 2016. Steen enjoyed an award winning career at Cloquet in Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. She earned four letters in Basketball along with being named First Team All-Conference three times, the Duluth News Tribune All-Area First Team twice, and was a 1,000 point scorer for the Lumberjacks. She also earned four letters in Volleyball where she also enjoyed All-Conference Second and First Team honors, and was again named to the Duluth News All-Area First Team. In Softball she earned four letters, and an All-Conference Second Team Honor. Steen also excelled academically winning the State Economics Challenge in High School and earning a Medal of Distinction at graduation.
Personal: Kassidy is the daughter of Doug and Krista Steen and intends to major in Biomedical Sciences while at St. Cloud State.
