2014-15: A 2015 All-America award winner for the Huskies at 149-pounds...28-7 record...tied for team lead with 15 falls in 2014-15...second place finishes at Iowa State and Cobber Opens in 2014...placed first at RCTC and North Country Open...finished with a fourth place finish at 2015 NCAA regional and placed seventh in nation at NCAA championshps to gain All-America honors...earned trophy at NCAA championships for most falls in the least amount of time in 2015...NSIC Rookie of the Year in 2015
Before SCSU: A 2014 graduate of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City High School, where he wrestled for coach Mike Amsden...a four-time state placewinner...won the 145-ound Class A state championship as a junior and senior...runner-up at 145-pounds as a sophomore...Bomstad placed third at 140-pounds as a freshman and fifth at 130-pounds as an eighth grader...a two-time NHSCA Nationals Folkstyle All-American, winning a title as a sophomore and placing third as a junior...was the #8 recruit in the country by Wrestling USA Magazine.
