Before SCSU: Attended South Dade and St. Thomas Aquinas High Schools...competed for coaches Victor Balmeceda and Humberto Reyna at South Dade and Rob Wimberly and Jerry Braun at St. Thomas Aquinas...a two-time state champion...ranked by Flo Wrestling and the Intermat...participated in football during high school...member of the Homestead Pal/Gladiator club...finished as a national runner-up from second grade to ninth grade in club competition...a transfer from North Iowa Area Community College...won NJCAA national title during 2015-16 at 133-pounds at NIACC.
