2018-19: Redshirt season at SCSU in 2018-19...15-1 overall record...five falls...placed first at the Dragon Open, Husky Open, Warrior Open, EC Open and North Country Open in 2018-19....will serve as a team captain in 2019-20...SCSU Redshirt Wrestler of the Year award winner in 2018-19.

The Overton File: A 2015 Rock Island High School graduate, earned a career high school mark of 73-22. A transfer from Lincoln College, Overton placed third at the 2017 NJCAA National Championships at 174-pounds. In addition, he placed eighth at the 2016 NJCAA National Championships earning All-American honors in both seasons. A two-time NJCAA Academic All-American, he is the son of Steve Overton and Heather Martin...sports management major at SCSU with a minor in coaching...enjoys lifting, pick-up basketball, hanging with friends and playing video games...he is the nephew of former Indianapolis Colts NFL defensive player of the year and Super Bowl champion Bob Sanders.
