St. Cloud State Softball to play more games in the Husky Dome this week

The ongoing winter weather in the upper Midwest has dictated another round of site changes for the St. Cloud State softball team this week. The Huskies will now play home dates in the indoor Husky Dome on Wednesday, April 11; Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14.
The Huskies (21-12, 7-5 NSIC) will open the week with a doubleheader against NSIC rival Bemidji State in the Husky Dome on Wednesday, April 11. The games will begin at 2 p.m.
The week continues on Friday, April 13 with a 1 p.m. twinbill in the Husky Dome against NSIC league leader Winona State University (28-4, 7-1 NSIC). On Saturday, April 14, the Huskies will complete the weekend's action with a 10 a.m. doubleheader in the Husky Dome against Upper Iowa University (14-12, 1-5 NSIC).
Admission to all of these games in the climate controlled comfort of the indoor Husky Dome is free for all spectators.

SCSU SOFTBALL NOTEBOOK:
- The St. Cloud State softball moved to 21-12, 7-5 NSIC with the results of last week's games. On April 4, the Huskies split a twinbill against Northern State with a 2-1 win and a 6-2 loss in the Husky Dome. On April 6, the Huskies dropped a pair in the Husky Dome against defending national champion Minnesota State by scores of 9-5 and 12-4. The weekend ended on April 7 in the Husky Dome with a split against Concordia-St. Paul. In game one, SCSU lost 3-2 to CSP and then rallied with a 3-1 win in game two.
- The Huskies have already played 17 games on the field in the SCSU Husky Dome this season. Due to field conditions in St. Cloud, SCSU will lay all of its scheduled home games in the Dome this week vs. Bemidji State, Winona State and Upper Iowa.
- Thanks to site reversals and field conditions, SCSU is in the midst of a 16-game streak of games played in the Husky Dome.
- Maya Keating is leading the Huskies this season with a .400 batting average, 44 hits and 27 runs scored.
- Morgan Emmans is tops on the team this season with a .670 slugging rate, seven homers, 14 doubles and 37 RBIs.
- -Kylie Thomsen has been a double threat this season. She is second on the team with a .360 batting average (three homers) and she leads the club with an 11-5 pitching mark (2.89 ERA).
- Paula U'Ren has won 668 games during her tenure in the Granite City.
- Amanda Moncelle paced the Huskies over the week with a .357 batting average, which included five hits in 14 at bats.
- Bradi Yost turned in a strong pitching performance to lead SCSU to a 3-1 win over CSP on April 7. In relief of injured starter Kate Kopeck, Yost pitched 6.2 innings with one run allowed, five hits allowed and one strikeout to her credit.
