from St. Cloud, MN, currently living in Nevis, MN, obtained his BS degree from SCSU in 1958 and his MS degree in 1964. Besides attending SC's, he also attended graduate studies at Michigan State, Ohio State Arkansas State, and Bemidji State University. Scott was active in football, basketball and track at St. Cloud Tech High School from 1951-1953. He then played one year for the University of Minnesota, but came back to play football for SCSU from 1955-1956. A charter member of the Tech Football Hall of Fame at St. Cloud Tech., he was the all conference three years straight, all state in 1953, on the High School All-American Team in 1953, and represented the State of Minnesota in the East-West All-Star Game. He was the leading scorer for the conference at St. Cloud State in 1955-1956. Losing his SCSU trophy in a coin flip, he was tied for MVP in 1956. He currently holds the record of 7.9 yards per carry/average in a rushing season. His college football career was cut short due to his knee injury in 1957. John Wink, the SCSU coach in 1950-early 60s, named Scott as the best player he had ever coached. Besides his great achievement in sports, Scott is also a retired teacher in accounting with 34 years of teaching experience at Columbia Heights High School. He was also the assistant coach of the football and baseball teams. To his credit, he has over 709 former students that are Certified Public Accountants. Scott is the author of Kenna's Carpet Mart Practice Set, Ray's Nursery Practice Set, and the Gregg Awards Testing Program-Accounting,-McGraw-Hill, New York, NY. He has also lectured at over 30 colleges on high school accounting teaching.
