#1 St. Cloud State Wrestling to Host Mary on Feb. 1

The #1 ranked St. Cloud State University wrestling team (17-0, 4-0 NSIC) will host the University of Mary (2-5, 1-4 NSIC) in an important conference dual match at Halenbeck Hall on Friday, Feb. 1. The action will get underway at 7 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to FILL THE BLEACHERS for this match. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the match or by visiting www.scsutickets.com. All SCSU students with a valid SCSU student ID card will be admitted FREE to this match...just show your SCSU ID card at the gate and you get in free to see some excellent NCAA wrestling right here in St. Cloud.

HUSKY NOTES AND NEWS:
The Huskies have won 43 consecutive dual matches dating back to the 2010-11 season...SCSU earned its second consecutive #1 ranking of the season in this week's DII Coaches' Poll. The Huskies held on to the top spot with a pair of road wins over #19 Augustana on Jan. 25 and Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 26...Individually, SCSU's Andy Pokorny (133) and Shamus O'Grady (184) are both ranked #1 in the nation, while Jake Kahnke (285) is ranked #2 in the nation this week. Clint Poster (157) was ranked #8 at 157 and Eric Forde also moved up in the polls with a #4 ranking at 125...O'Grady currently paces the Huskies with a 28-1 record at 184-pounds. He is within sight of the team season record of 40 wins set by Tad Merritt in 2010-11 (40-2)...Kahnke is undefeated this season with an 11-0 record at 285-pounds...the Huskies have won 112 of their matches by falls this season...the Huskies captured their second consecutive NWCA/Cliff Keen DII National Duals title on Jan. 12-13 in Springfield, Ill...Eric Forde now owns a 21-5 record. SCSU's other 20-win wrestler is Poster with a 26-3 record at 157...Coach Steve Costanzo is in his seventh season at SCSU and is 96-23 ...SCSU owns a six match win streak vs. Mary dating back to 2006-07...Feb. 7 & Feb. 14 have been designated as SCSU Faculty-Staff Appreciation Nights with all SCSU Faculty and Staff admitted FREE along with a guest.
