SCSU Swimming and Diving Results from UW-Green Bay, Gustavus, and Minnesota State

Green Bay, Wis. -- The St. Cloud State swimming and diving traveling team completed their second day of action at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay this evening against UW-Green Bay and UW-Whitewater. Both the men's and women's teams finished in second place in final team scores behind Green Bay and ahead of Whitewater.

Highlights:
The St. Cloud State men's swimming and diving team captured 13 total first place finishes throughout the meet.
Jake Stoll captured five first place finishing including individual victories in the 50 yard free (20.83) and the 100 yard free (45.81), as well as a member of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay, 200 yard medley relay, and the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Alex Bryson captured four first place finishes. Bryson won the 500 yard free (4:39.13), the 200 yard free (1:43.09), and the 1650 free (16:08.21). He was also a member of the winning 400 yard freestyle relay.
Bob Simson finished with victories in both the 100 yard backstroke (52.79) and the 200 yard backstroke (1:55.08). Simson also was a member of the winning 200 yard medley relay.
Napoleon Howell won the 100 yard breaststroke in 57.31 and the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:09.17. Howell also grabbed first place finishes as a member of the 200 yard freestyle relay and 200 yard medley relay.
In diving action, Tyler Magalis had a first place finish on the one-meter dive with a score of 301.20. Magalis took a second place finish on the three-meter.
The St. Cloud State women's team captured two first place finishes.
Erin Hart won the 100 yard backstroke in 59:18.
Kellyn Craig won the 200 yard breaststroke in 2:25.25.
Other members of the St. Cloud State swimming and diving teams competed at Gustavus Adolphus today, with diving action taking place at Minnesota State University.
