Wayne, Neb. – St. Cloud State University sophomore golfer Katie Kruchten (St. Cloud) was the individual runner-up after posting at two-day total 161 at the Wayne State Invitational at the Wayne Country Club on Saturday. The SCSU women finished second in the team standings. The Huskies men's team placed fourth.

The Huskies placed second in the team standings posting a two-day total of 343-348=691.

Kruchten fired rounds of 78 and 83, and was one stroke behind medalist Ana Summers of Nebraska-Kearney. UNK won the team title with a schor of 338-337=675.

Brooke Taylor, Alex DeBoer and Taylor Chase all placed in the top ten for the Huskies. Taylor shot 89-86 to finish in a tie for sixth place. DeBoer shot rounds of 86-91 to place ninth and Chase shot 90-88 for a tenth place finish.

The St. Cloud State men's team moved up one spot to finish in fourth place overall at the Wayne State Invitational and junior Devin Holmes (Ramsey) placed third with even par rounds of 72-72 for a 144 at the Wayne State Invitational.

The Huskies posted a team score of 593 after rounds of 300-293. Minnesota State University won the team title with a score of 585.

Charlie West joined Holmes in the top ten shooting a 76-72=148 to finish in a tie for tenth place.
