
Men's Golf to Host SCSU Husky Classic Sunday and Monday

Women's team to compete at Southwest Minnesota State Mustang Invite
St. Cloud, Minn. -- The St. Cloud Country Club will be the site of the 2013 SCSU Husky Classic hosted by the St. Cloud State University men's golf team on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 22-23.
Eleven teams will participate in the Classic including St. Cloud State, Minnesota Crookston, Missouri Southern, Minot State, Minnesota State, Bemidji State, University of Manitoba, Winona State, Concordia-St. Paul, Lincoln (Mo.) University and North Central University.
The competition will begin at 11 a.m. on on Sunday. Players will tee off hole number one beginning at 11 a.m. and the tenth hole at 12:04 p.m. Monday's tee times will be determined on Sunday.
St. Cloud State has been successful in its first two fall competitions. The Huskies won the NSIC Fall Preview and placed second at the Saint John's Fall Invitational.
Individually, first year golfer Jack Pexa (New Prague) has had an outstanding collegiate debut. He has finished as the individual runner-up in each of the competitions thus far.
Women head to Marshall, Minn.
The St. Cloud State women's team will continue its fall schedule at the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustang Invite on Saturday and Sunday at the Marshall Golf Club.
The Huskies will be one of 14 teams competing in the Invite. The competition will begin on Saturday with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Sunday competition will get underway in a 9 a.m. shotgun.
The Huskies have had three top ten team finishes this fall. First year golfer Laurel Enstrom (Rock Island, Ill.) has had a solid start to her rookie season. She averages 80.8 strokes per round.
