The St. Cloud State men's and women's golf teams hit the links today for the first round of their respective tournaments. The women are competed at the Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bear Invite while four members of the men's team are competing at the Saint John's Fall Invitational.
Women in 5th place: The Huskies are in fifth place in the 11-team field after the first day of action. The Huskies posted a team score of 329 led by Katie Kruchten who shot a 79 at Tartan Park Golf Course in St. Paul. Laurel Enstrom and Brooke Taylor each shot an 81 on the par 72, 6,019 yard course. Augustana College leads the tournament with a 306.

At five-over par 77, David Scharenbroich is tied for 20th place. Kyle Haag shot an 81 and is tied for 60th place while Drew Massey shot an 86. The Saint John's Fall Invitational resumes on Sunday at the Greystone Golf Club in Sauk Centre.
