Tyler Koivisto leads men's golf to fourth place finish at UNK Fall Invite

Kearney, Neb. -- St. Cloud State senior golfer Tyler Koivisto (Cokato) shot a two-under par 70 in the final round of the University of Nebraska Kearney Fall Invite to finish third on the individual leaderboard and help the Huskies to a fourth place team finish.

The Huskies posted a final team score of 899 (308-295-296) in the 14-team field. Minnesota State University, Mankato went low to finish at 867, 20 strokes ahead of second place Dodge City Community College.
Koivisto shot a one-over par 73 in the first round and came back with a two-under 70 in each of the final two rounds to finish at three-under par for a tournament total 213. Ross Miller of Minnesota State University was the individual medalist carding rounds of 72-71-68 for a five-under par total of 211.

In other weekend action, Dan Massey tied for seventh at the Saint John's Fall Invitational played at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club and Greystone Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
Massey shot 76-76 for an eight-over par 152. David Scharenbroich tied for 15th place with 77-77-154. Kyle Haag finished with an 81-81-162 and tied for 60th place. Drew Massey rounded out the Huskies with 86-92 for a 178.
