The #2 St. Cloud State University ventured northwest on Nov. 21 to participate in the 2015 Finn Grinaker Cobber Open, which was hosted by Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. SCSU's Clint Poster charted a first place finish at 165-pounds in the Gold Division, while teammate Uthman Rabiu posted a top finish in the Gold Division at 184-pounds.

#1 ranked Poster tallied a 3-0 record that include three consecutive falls on the way to the championship at 165-pounds. In the championship match, Poster scored a 2:56 pin against SCSU teammate Josh Berg.

In action at 184-pounds, Rabiu went undefeated and capped the tournament with a title match win over SCSU teammate Garrett Miller in the title bout.

SCSU wrestlers placing second at the tournament's Gold Division included Brett Velasquez, who lost in the title match by a 13-5 score to Dylan Peters of Northern Iowa. Teammate Tanner Johnshoy also placed third in the 125-pound bracket. At 133-pounds, Mike Rhone placed second with a 3-1 record. In the title bout, Rhone charted a 14-6 loss to Josh Alber of Northern Iowa. At 197-pounds, V.J. Giulio placed second after losing a close 4-3 decision against Minnesota's Robert Stevenson.
