Minneapolis, Minn. – St. Cloud State senior distance swimmer Alex Bryson (Appleton, Wis.) won the 1650 free in second day competition at the Minnesota Challenge hosted by the University of Minnesota Friday and Saturday.

Bryson swam the 1650 in 15:31.15 and bettered his "B" qualifying time for the NCAA Division II National Championships.

The Huskies will prepare for the 2015 New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference (NSISC) Championships Feb. 18-21 in Cleveland, Mississippi.
