Godard Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

SCSU junior becomes eighth in program history to earn the distinction and second-ever two-time Academic All-American
GREENWOOD, Ind. – St. Cloud State Swim & Dive junior Lance Godard (Lee's Summit, Mo.) was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. Godard earned second team honors after being named to the first team in 2024-25.
He is the eighth student-athlete from SCSU Men's Swim and Dive to earn Academic All-America recognition, and just the second to earn the honor twice, following Alex Bryson (2013-14 second team, 2014-15 first team).
Godard, who maintains a 3.87 GPA as a Finance major, earned five All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Championships to bring his career total to 11 All-America finishes. He earned first team status in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a seventh-place finish, and honorable mention honors in the 200-yard medley relay (10th), 400-yard medley relay (13th), 200-yard butterfly (13th) and 100-yard butterfly (16th).
